Why & Where To Find My Podcast: The Full Guide

Firstly, I should answer:
Why create a blog when you have a podcast?
The answer is pretty simple; sometimes I feel like speaking and sometimes I feel like writing. Some things I have lots to say, some things I have ideas to explore. And that will characterise what I put on here versus in a podcast episode. I think lately I have been feeling not a lot like speaking, recording and making a podcast episode, but I still want to satiate my creativity. This blog should provide me with this.
I have lots of thoughts, opinions and ideas and, recently, I have been trying to shoehorn some of them into podcast episodes. These tend to be more exploratory, short and structured ideas than the best podcast topics, like a list or a review. I'll continue to do books, films and longer-form pieces on my podcast; the conversational, flow from point-to-point style is still best suited there. My blog posts, on the other hand, will feature TV shows, 'in-the-news' subject conversations, and some creative writing/article-style writing. The two different platforms will provide me two different avenues to create two different styles of the content I want to create.

At heart, I really enjoy creating and I want to allow myself every avenue necessary and possible to do so. Gradually, I had been feeling pressure to create my podcast (put on solely by myself and my inner chronic people pleasing) and I became more resistant to doing it. I don't want to lose the enjoyment of podcasting and my tendency to build up rigidity to obligation risked doing that. I create for me so I need to ensure that what I want is always at the heart of what I create and why. This would explain the seeming temporary hiatus from the podcast for the last month or so. It will be back - don't fret!
I will continue making the podcast and I will also start posting blogs/articles here. This may mean less frequent podcast episodes, but it will be supplemented by blog posts here. Similarly, if I ever feel hesitant to post a podcast episode, I'll fall back on creating a blog post. And vice versa.
And that pretty much sums up why you should go find my podcast (if you're coming here first and not from my podcast); my podcast will have different, more conversational, more in-the-moment vulnerable content, whilst my blog will have more created, written and thought out content.
The original ethos of Saying Something Sober still stands for both - the topics of each could be absolutely anything!
Now I will answer the next, potentially more important, question:
Where can I find your podcast?
My podcast is available across all major platforms!
I manage and publish my podcast through Spotify's 'For Podcasters' platform. This means that Spotify is my primary platform. However, I have ensured it is linked through and connected to all major podcast streaming platforms.
If you're looking to create a podcast, I'd highly recommend Spotify For Podcasters because it's so easy to use and makes it so simple to connect to the other streaming platforms.
You can access my podcast through this blog on the podcast tab, there are also multiple links to it through this blog and my Linktree.
